Would your dad wear this?

AH, the joys of Father's Day. That greeting card industry creation which pays tribute to the wonderful men who brought us up comes jam packed with countless reminders from retail stores urging us to celebrate with a jazzy tie, or some designer underpants.

It may not be the most creative route, but hey, maybe the old guy might just appreciate a little something to spice up his wardrobe. If he's anything like my father, he relies almost exclusively on his children's taste at least once a year to do just that.

On Father's Day he usually feigns surprise at my style injections to his wardrobe before pushing them into the back of the closet and forgetting they ever existed.

So this year I thought I would get him - R. J. Nahabit - to step in front of the camera for a look at some of this season's offerings. Sort of a 'would your dad wear this' piece? Being a good sport, he reluctantly agreed to be captured on film.

(Of course, getting him to stop posing and go home was a different story).

So here he is, my dad, wearing some of more extreme possibilities that are available on his special day.

He now wants to know who would be the best agent for him.
