HONG KONG First Division side Golden, desperate for a new striker after Bosnian star Alen Bajkusa's recall to South China, are set to sign two new target men for next season.

Golden president Simon Wan Chi-lok said yesterday that they had signed Bosnian Anto Grabo for one season after he was released by the Caroliners.

And Golden, who finished third on their debut in the top flight last season, are also interested in signing former Queen's Park Rangers star Gary Bannister.

'We're happy that we have signed Grabo who has played well for South China for the last two seasons,' said Wan. 'We are confident he will fit in well with our Scottish striker Lee Bullen.

'Although Anto is 33, his experience can help Lee Bullen, who is still a bit inexperienced.' Wan said that the signing of Grabo would not affect their plans to land Bannister and added: 'Besides Bannister, West Ham have said they will send us information on two of their young strikers.' Bannister, 35 later this month, had a short spell with Rangers during pre-season training last year, but left before the league kicked off.

Wan said they had contacted Bannister through their former Manchester United defender Mike Duxbury.
