SHARES in Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation (P & O) fell after newspaper reports said a study by British legislators criticised safety standards on roll-on-roll-off ferries.

The stock dropped seven pence to 568p (about HK$70).

A report in the Financial Times said a committee of legislators would call for bulkheads to be fitted on ferries, which operators have resisted in the past on the grounds of cost.
