THEY say it doesn't rain but it pours. But they forgot to tell Legislative Councillor Martin Lee Chu-ming that politicians should not trust others with his umbrella on rainy days. On one of the wettest days in months, Mr Lee found himself in the Cable TV Central studio doing an interview. He dutifully left his dripping brolly outside the studio, only to emerge after a brisk question and answer question to find his prized Hong Kong Club emblazoned umbrella missing.
A hasty effort to recover it failed and the controversial legislator was last seen splashing his way into the streets wondering why he had not worn a raincoat.
