Helping hands dig deep for hospital funds

THE Transworld Ball, held at the Grand Hyatt, was more than just a joyous occasion with a seven-course banquet and star performers led by Roman Tam.

The guests dug deep into their pockets and raised more than $2.5 million for the Yan Chai Hospital's Emergency Relief Fund.

Edward Tsui, chairman of the youthful Transworld Committee, which for the past three years has worked actively in raising money for the Yan Chai Hospital's charitable causes, looked resplendent in a flowing Mandarin gown.
