I AM concerned about the number of people who are continuing to smoke on Hong Kong Ferry Company vessels which are bound for the Outlying Islands.
Even though smoking has now been prohibited on ferries, I still see a lot of people flouting the regulations and lighting up.
The problem is especially bad at the end of the lower and middle decks of the ferries.
This means that non-smokers are forced to share this second-hand smoke.
It is important when a law like this is passed, that it should be enforced.
The company and the relevant authorities should ensure that people obey the law and stop smoking in places where it is forbidden.
