A waste of household gloves

MANY housewives and domestic helpers have had the experience of having to discard household kitchen gloves because the right-hand glove was damaged.

This is because most people are right-handed and so the glove is subject to greater use. Therefore both gloves are thrown out, even though the left-hand one is still in very good condition. This is environmentally wasteful. Surely, it would be a better idea if right and left-hand gloves were sold separately. This is one way household glove makers and retailers could do their bit to help protect the environment.
