Henan receives loans

HENAN province has received US$140 million in World Bank loans over the past few years to develop agriculture, the provincial government says. Developments have included the reclamation of 50,000 hectares of wasteland in Shangqiu under the 'North China Plain Agricultural Project' and the sinking of 15,000 wells under a $48 million irrigation project.
