Drugs - young people at risk

NOWADAYS, teenagers turn to drugs to get away from problems, or to forget about unpleasant experiences. They do so, without considering the consequences of their actions.

Though the Government has introduced lots of anti-drugs campaigns, teenagers continue to take drugs. Initially, they think it will be fun to do so.

Some even take them to look good with their peers, without realising the harmful consequences of doing so. They simply do not appreciate that it could affect them psychologically and ultimately, ruin their lives.

Drug-taking is becoming a serious problem in schools.

Because of this, I believe it is important for schools to organise more lectures and other campaigns, so that students can appreciate just how dangerous drugs are.
