Showcasing its range of high-quality microphones and amplifiers, Taiwan-based Chiayo Electronics is ready to be heard in the global electronics arena. A leading designer and manufacturer of professional wireless microphone and portable sound systems, Chiayo is backed by more than four decades of development and has gained the confidence of customers worldwide.

Combining technical knowledge, skill and experience, Chiayo crafts advanced and stylish professional audio systems. Armed with a zeal for innovation, Chiayo directs 12 per cent of its total turnover into research and development activities, and secures international patent applications and certifications.

"We focus on design and technology, and continue to be creative to ensure long-term success," says Chiayo president David Kung. "Most companies pursue technology for the profit, producing large quantities to earn more. For us, quality is more important than quantity."

As a pioneer microphone manufacturer in Taiwan, Chiayo introduced a number of firsts in Taiwan - from electronic condenser, FM and infrared microphones to the more modern phase-locked loop-synthesised wireless microphone technology.

Aside from its flagship infrared wireless microphone system and portable amplifiers, Chiayo offers applications in audio, music, education and public address systems. It is expanding its line to include musical instrument microphones and wireless fitness microphones, and is set on becoming Asia's No 1 manufacturer by 2015.

Upholding international manufacturing standards, Chiayo has garnered various excellence and design awards, including the Taiwan SMEs Innovation Award given by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Tapping markets on the mainland, Indonesia, India and Vietnam, Chiayo seeks distribution partners that can represent its brand and convey its commitment to providing high-quality products and cutting-edge designs. "We are a small company, but we have access to key technology and we have very good people," Kung says. "We use that knowledge and advantage to diversify our products. We employ two essential ingredients to continuously grow - excellent products and a strong business team."
