THE next time the tycoons behind the Better Hong Kong Foundation appear in a photograph together some of them won't be there courtesy of computer imaging.

Leonie Ki Man-fung, chief executive of the trust which raised $100 million to promote a prosperous image of the territory, yesterday denied adverse reaction to a newspaper advertisement featuring a composite picture of the tycoons had led to a decision to shoot a new picture.

'We had planned to take a new picture, and we hope the new picture will also include our new trustees,' she said. However, she declined to disclose who they were.

'Last time we gave them one week's notice to take the picture,' she said.

'This time we just want to tell them three months in advance, and I hope more of them will come.' Ms Ki said the foundation, set up last month, would not paste on the faces of those who could not show for the picture this time.

The fund, blessed by President Jiang Zemin, is made up of 20 trustees including prominent businessmen and companies with strong ties with China.
