Theatrical traditions, wild animals and stalks of rye inspire a range of embellished timepieces
This grand complication model features a patent-pending mechanism, activated by a pushbutton on the crown, that pivots to reveal a 240-degree view of the handcrafted dial.
Arceau H Cube
The simplicity of straw is the inspiration for the Arceau H Cube's colourful miniature marquetry dial. The rye stems were scythed by hand and dyed before being cut and arranged in an H Cube motif designed by Henri d'Origny.
BULGARI
Gerald Genta Commedia Dell’Arte
Inspired by Italian theatrical tradition, the Commedia Dell'Arte series recreates the characters Brighella, Pulcinella, Harlequin, Pantalone and Columbine performing in scenes outside a 16th-century Italian palace. The hand-decorated dial features peinture miniature, gravure and ciselage techniques.
ULYSSE NARDIN
Classico Serpent
Featuring the rare craft of champlevé enamelling - in which cells are carved with a chisel on the dial and then filled with enamel - this limited-edition piece celebrates the Year of the Snake. The colourful dial is achieved with different metallic oxides.
Lady Arpels Papillon Extraordinaire
A blend of materials and techniques - including plique-à-jour enamelling and hard stone marquetry - combine for a shimmering and colourful tribute to one of the brand's signature motifs. The dial features sculpted mother of pearl, lapis lazuli and diamonds.
