Today: The Rock Gang at the Wanch. Energetic rock from the only all-local band to play this cosy Jaffe Road venue.

Amoeba at Amoeba, Ashley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Broad-ranging rock sounds from the resident band at Hongkong's most exciting new venue for live music.

Tomorrow: Solo night at the Wanch. From 9.30pm - 11pm, Graeme Morris will take to the microphone before handing over to Lee Worden.

The Shout at Brown Sugar, Lan Kwai Fong. Thrash funk ranging from covers (Chili Peppers, Black Crowes, Stones) to originals. Two sets from 10.30pm.

Rock All Night at Amoeba. Guest bands galore.

Sunday: Original Music at Amoeba. An informal evening of locally-generated sounds. Cover versions non gratis.

Monday: Amoeba at Amoeba.

The New China Blues Agency at the Cyrano Lounge, Island Shangri-La. 9pm. Craig Quick and Noel Quinlan play oldies and goldies.

Tuesday: Amoeba at Amoeba.

Tryangle Quartet at Brown Sugar. Quality mainstream jazz, in fact the only jazz you'll hear at this venue.

Wednesday: The Rattlesnakin' Daddies at Amoeba. This cheerful band of Radio 3 chaps churn out chunky tunes.

Rai ''Wonder'' and Lee Worden at Brown Sugar. Blues, funk, soul and much, much more from a fun couple of guys. Late night often brings a few guest musicians. From around 10pm.

Thursday: The Rattlesnakin' Daddies at Amoeba. Blue Wail at Brown Sugar. From around 10pm.

Plus, City Blues play at Portico in Citibank Plaza every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Acoustic guitar entertainment from John Hui, Richard Preston and guests.

CC Ryders are back at JJs, the Grand Hyatt. Kevin Wahl and Tony Thompson have joined the popular funketeers.
