Science helps Baoshan

SCIENCE and technology is contributing about 60 per cent of Baoshan Steel Works' revenue, according to Xinhua (the New China News Agency).

The agency said data showed that the works, which were the most advanced in China, had posted sales worth 96.2 billion yuan since it began operations in 1985.
