Speak up

THIS is the time for Maria Tam, Nellie Fong, Ngai Siu-kit, Rita Fan, Lau Wong-fat, etc, to explain publicly why they have conceded to the Preliminary Working Committee's (PWC) proposal to reverse the Legislative Council decision on the Human Rights Bill, a bill which they voted for.

Now is the time also for the rest on the PWC who have a good conscience and moral courage, to speak up openly on behalf of the Hong Kong people on the importance of the protection of human rights as provided in the rights bill.

The PWC has already discredited itself in the eyes of the public.

If those with no integrity on the PWC would become members of the 400-strong Selection Committee and then would vote themselves into the future Provisional Legislative Council, they would be held in contempt by the great majority of Hong Kong people.
