Paper wins appeal right

THE publisher and three executive editors of Chinese-language daily Ming Pao have been granted special leave by the Privy Council to appeal against a Court of Appeal ruling that ICAC laws gagging the press should remain in force.

It is expected the London hearings will start in about two months after the Law Lords rejected an objection to the appeal by Solicitor-General Daniel Fung.
