All ferries head for Lantau

ABOUT 10,000 worshippers will flock to Lantau Island this morning for the re-opening of the 80-year-old Koon Yam Temple in Tai O. The $30 million renovation took three years to complete and is modelled on the Yiheyuan, the summer palace in Beijing. Access roads in front of the outlying ferry terminal in Central will be closed this morning, while extra ferry services and 50 shuttle buses have been laid on to take people to the temple in Keung Shan.
