Princess heads for mystery location
THE honeymoon destination of Hong Kong's new Princess Alexandra remained a secret yesterday.
A close friend from Hong Kong, James Osborn, said: 'They kept the destination very quiet indeed. I have no idea where they have gone.' Alexandra, from Discovery Bay, seemed 'very perky' throughout the wedding festivities on Saturday at Danish Queen Margrethe's country home of Fredensborg palace, said Mr Osborn.
First prize for nerve went to French pensioner Claude Khazizian who, it emerged yesterday, gate-crashed the wedding sitting among the 350 guests in the church.
While a woman, eager to get into the ceremony, attempted to swim across a lake surrounding the church, Mr Khazizian, dressed in full morning suit, jumped on to a bus taking guests on the 40-kilometre trip out from Copenhagen.
He evaded police checks and managed to find a seat among Europe's royals for the hour-long ceremony, crept in on official photographs and then confidently walked out among the princes and princesses leaving the service.
He had stood next to Prince Joachim at a reception he sneaked in to at Copenhagen City Hall.
And he makes a habit of it, once standing alongside former French president Francois Mitterrand and Germany's Chancellor Dr Helmut Kohl at an international summit.
