A MAN cheated his way into the financial world using false examination results and by concealing his criminal record, the District Court heard yesterday.
Joseph Tang Wing-leung, 40, denies two charges of obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception and two counts of uttering a forged document.
It was alleged Tang obtained a job as a trainee consultant after falsifying Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination results.
In another job, he allegedly failed to reveal his criminal record and used a false ID number when registering with the Securities and Futures Commission as an investment representative. He later produced bogus exam results to the commission to get the licence, the court heard.
The trial before Judge Kilgour continues today.
