The Urban Council and the Regional Council have always been committed to providing recreational and sports activities for people of the community.

Through various district recreation and sports offices, different types of fun days, training courses and district sports competitions are organised so that the public can make good use of their leisure time by taking part in healthy activities.

Apart from the Corporate Games, the Urban Council also joins hands with the Regional Council to organise the Masters Games for middle-aged people and this is equally popular and highly regarded.

In fact, the two municipal councils have continuously promoted the 'Sports-for-All' concept in recent years with a view to arousing an interest in sports.

I am very glad to see industrial and commercial organisations are aware of the benefits of recreational and sports activities. Team sports, in particular, help to enhance communication and co-operation among staff.

The success of the Corporate Games this year is attributed to the participation of various organisations and the athletes, as well as the hard work of the staff members.
