Dance-lovers have a ball with the ballet

THE territory's dance-lovers turned out in force to trip the light fantastic at the Hong Kong Ballet Ball, which was held recently at The Regent Hong Kong.

This year's theme was taken from the title of Andre Derain's book La Boutique Fantastique, and the spectacular evening included performances by the Hong Kong Ballet and by singer Jacintha Abisheganade from the musical Cats.

An auction of valuable objets d'art formed perhaps the highlight of the evening's festivities, which were co-chaired by Lisa Ma and Maggie Fung.
