Not spreading red propaganda

I REFER to the letter headlined 'Programme was surreal' from Angelo Paratico (South China Morning Post, January 1).

First, I would like to thank your reader for watching Stopwatch, a purchased programme which looks at historical events around the world.

The episode the writer considered to be surreal dealt with the rising military power of Cuba in the 1960s.

It was not our intention to spread pro-communist propaganda.

Starting this month, we have another BBC-produced historical documentary, Timewatch, to be aired on World. We hope it will suit your reader's interests better.
