Complaints brushed aside

A SENIOR Naval official has brushed aside Chinese complaints about the passage through the Taiwan Strait last month of US aircraft carrier Nimitz. Mr Danzig, said US ships, or those of any other nation, had a right to pass through the area, which was in international waters. 'I do not think it is very provocative for nations to travel through international waterways in exercising their freedom of the seas,' Mr Danzig told the Post.
