THE Hongkong Toys and Games fair generated a record $1.5 billion worth of orders, more than a third of which were signed and sealed on the spot, says fair organiser the Trade Development Council.

The figure, which represents a 45 per cent jump from last year, was attributed to more American buying as the economy was picking up.
