Eye of tornado caught on film as storm rips through US trailer park
Oil workers record up close as twister destroys 15 trailers and injures nine
Two American oil workers who got up close and personal with a tornado not only lived to tell the tale but managed to capture rare footage of the twister on film.
Abram Schiff sent a text message to neighbour Dan Yorgason on Monday evening to tell him that a storm was about to hit the trailer park where they are stationed in North Dakota.

Expecting a refreshing summer shower, Yorgason, 44, walked outside to check to weather. That’s when he saw the tornado approaching rapidly from the west.
The pair took a quick look at the storm and, realising the impending danger to their lives, ran to a nearby truck. They drove around the side of the tornado and filmed as the storm destroyed a reported 15 trailers and injured nine people in an adjoining trailer park.
No deaths were reported but a 15-year-old girl is in critical condition and Yorgason admits the pair were lucky to survive.
“I was laughing a lot, but it was not because I thought it was funny. I was panicking,” he told the New York Daily News. “I knew I had to get out of there. You know how trailer parks are with tornados.”
