I am writing in support of Roy Pang's letter, 'Let down by radio station' (South China Morning Post, March 12). I encountered a similar problem with Metro Radio 997.
I enrolled in January in a game hosted by Wing Kwok and Anna Yau for tickets to the JVC Hit Awards presentations. Having answered the questions correctly, I was asked to hold the line for registration of personal particulars.
But I was left waiting for almost 30 minutes, my call unanswered. Worse still, the connection was cut.
In February, I joined another game hosted by the same programme and the same thing happened. The incident is not a coincidence! I called back to complain about it but to no avail. This kind of treatment is totally intolerable. For the sake of reaching a wider audience and not having its reputation damaged, it's advisable the authorities concerned at Metro Radio look into the matter seriously.
