HK Air Cadet Corps seeking high-flyers

The Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps (HKACC) will begin its 1996 Officer Cadet Training Scheme in May.

Candidates are required to attend a six-month training course which takes in basic knowledge of the HKACC, aviation subjects, customs and courtesy, discipline and foot drills.

There will also be leadership exercises, field training and instructional techniques.

Interviews will be conducted next month.

Selected applicants will not be required to pay any fee except that which goes towards uniforms.

All training will be held after office hours. Candidates will be appointed as Pilot Officers after passing the examination.

The HKACC is a registered non-profit making voluntary organisation subsidised by the Social Welfare Department.

The youth organisation aims to provide initial aviation education, promote leadership skills and raise social awareness through community service.

Requirements: Aged 21 or older.

Matriculation or above.

Good command of English.

Willing to work under discipline.

Willing to serve the community.
