The Urban Council has re-opened five swimming pools as the weather is due to become warmer.

A council spokesman said that the Kennedy Town, Kwun Tong, Morse Park, Shamshuipo Park and Victoria Park swimming pools have been re-opened.

In addition, the outdoor pools of the Kowloon Park Swimming Pool have also been re-opened.

Meanwhile, the indoor heated pools of the Kowloon Park and Morrison Hill Swimming Pools, which both remained open throughout the winter, will be closed for annual maintenance from April 15 to June 14 and from May 1 to June 30, respectively.

The normal opening hours of all Urban Council swimming pools are from 6.30 am to 9 pm.

The opening hours will be extended by an hour during the peak swimming season in June, July and August.

The spokesman added that the remaining six Urban Council swimming pools are due to re-open in phases in the near future.
