Blues legend Carey Bell hits the Jazz Club next week playing some soulful renditions of classics from the Deep South.

Bell has an impressive history, including sessions with Muddy Waters and Sonny Boy Williamson. He'll dust off his harmonica for five consecutive shows commencing on Tuesday at 9.30pm. Don't miss any of them.

Tonight: Khablar continue the acoustic foray the Delaney's pubs have been experimenting with in recent weeks. Their folk commences about 8pm in Delaney's Kowloon.

Willy Tang and the gang in Blue Wail will showcase tracks from their forthcoming album of originals in the Jazz Club, from 9.30pm.

Rhythm Sweat hit the Fringe Club also playing blues-rock, about 10pm.

The Bastards play hard-rock and punk in the Wanch at 10pm.

Soulful Canadian vocalist Suzanne Wallace and her five-piece band play Tott's Asian Grill and Bar in the Excelsior Hotel from 9pm.

Atlanta band TC Jason and Smoothwave play funk-rock in JJ's nightly from 10pm.

Dave Colquhoun hits Mad Dogs Central with acoustic blues at 9pm.

Tomorrow: The Ian H Davis Band stomp their Hammond organ to play a slightly groovier jazz style in the Jazz Club at 9.30pm.

The Sisters of Sharon in the Wanch at 10pm.

Ian and Friends provide acoustic grooves in Delaney's Hong Kong at 8pm.

The Eh-Team play acoustic-rock at Carnegies at 9pm.

The Warehouse Project features the hottest young rock talent performing at the old Aberdeen police station at 8.30pm.

Sunday: The Allen Youngblood Group jams up a soulful storm in the Jazz Club from 9.30pm.

Dave Colquhoun plays acoustic blues in Mad Dogs Central at 9pm.

Monday: Rikky Aranas and Lily play cool jazz in Someplace Else in the Sheraton Hotel from 6pm.

Tuesday: The Diggers play top acoustic folk favourites in Delaney's Hong Kong. Catch them at 8pm.

Wednesday: The Rough Lovers unplug for an acoustic session in Delaney's Kowloon at 8pm.
