Fabrics are shiny almost to the point of appearing wet and the colours are light and soft - from tangerine to lemon and lime to lavender - in Theme's spring and summer collection for women executives.

Pale pastels are barely visible in the sunlight and the pearlised finishes give a subtle sheen to the clothing collection. Two silhouettes are prominent - the retro circular skirt with sun ray pleats, falling just below the knees, and the pencil skirt that is cut tight.

Dresses are feminine with romantic floral prints and they hark back to the 1940s and '50s.

Blouses are feminine too, featuring details like pin tucks and ruffles. Truly Audrey Hepburn chic can be found in the Roman Holiday line of neatly cut jackets.

Some prints are bold and daring and deviate from the half-hearted subtlety of the previous season's collections. There are fantastic florals, potted plant prints, oversized orchids and giant sunflowers, among others.

Transparent plastic and cellophane have their place in Theme's trendy collection as well, while crisp cotton is present in structured suits.
