One altruistic reader called the Post last week, trying hard to help Eurasian toddler Joshua Wong, who had leukaemia.

Touched by news that doctors were seeking bone marrow to match young Joshua's rare Scottish-Chinese tissue type, the Scotsman said his 'almost 17-year-old' son was the product of a similar union.

The lad was a little reluctant to suffer the pain that went with a donation, his father admitted. 'But he could be forced to,' he offered.
