Virgin boss Richard Branson (right) went roller-blading in New York's Central Park last week, and ended up ploughing into one of rock music's most sacred spots. Speeding along, Branson lost control and careered into flowerbeds before falling over. The flowers were part of the John Lennon Memorial Garden, and the tycoon was the immediate target of reproach from passers-by who venerate the memory of the late Beatle.
