Weihai, in Shandong province, has opened two new wharves to Chinese and foreign ships.
The first, a general purpose wharf, has a handling capacity of 400,000 tonnes a year and can accommodate vessels of 20,000 dwt. The second is the biggest petroleum and liquified gas handler in China, with a 50,000 dwt berth.
