No room in crowded car park

My friends and I have been long-term Clearwater Bay residents. We have shopped at the Asia Supermarket in Silverstrand Beach Road for over 10 years plus using the doctors' clinic, florist and other shops on the second floor.

However, lately, we are tending to shop elsewhere, because it is impossible to park in the large car park. It doesn't matter what time of the day one goes there, the car park is always full of trucks, vans and 'out of service' taxis, none of which were there in the past. These vehicles seem to park for long periods at a time whereas I understood the car park was supposed to be for shoppers and beach-goers. This problem is getting dangerous as on weekends when there are more vehicles, people are forced to park on the footpath beside the road. This causes pedestrians to walk on the road which is extremely hazardous and also causes road traffic to veer into the opposite lanes. Would the appropriate department please look into this matter before there is a dreadful accident? SUE KYLE Clearwater Bay
