Happy families will produce healthy, responsible citizens, but many people come from homes where fighting and quarrelling is normal.

They have such a poor relationship with their family that sometimes they wish they had not been born into it.

To create a happy home is by no means easy. Money is not the most important factor in improving family life, but many are ruined by financial difficulties.

Happy family life needs the participation of every member of the household. If they do not make an effort, they have no hope of bridging the gap between themselves and others.

It is important that family members spend enough time together. These days it is not uncommon for both husband and wife to go out to work. Children can become juvenile delinquents because their parents have no time for them.

They turn to the outside world and make undesirable friends.

Spending more time with their family does not, of course, mean just watching television. It means everyone treasuring the chance to be together.

It is equally important to be ready to forgive others' mistakes.

Very often conflicts arise because someone has done something inexcusable in the eyes of their family. Their parents, brothers and sisters will not forgive and forget, and keep mentioning the problem.

Hatred is fermented in this way, and finally people can become enemies, with no chance of a reconciliation.

By bearing these things in mind, family life can be made more fruitful and enjoyable.
