The steamer Virginia V, last survivor of Seattle's 'Mosquito Fleet', has received the Ship of the Year Award from the Steamship Historical Society of America.

The award is in recognition of the years of volunteer efforts by the non-profit Steamer Virginia V Foundation, which has not only preserved the ship but kept her in service as well.
