Sale to set tails wagging
If you have been working like a dog then you deserve to sleep like a log on a bed bought to aid the RSPCA.
The society hopes to wag tails by raising more than $60,000 through the sale of used bed frames and mattresses.
About 400 beds will be stripped from rooms in the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel next month.
The beds will be sold for $250 each.
The double and king-sized beds are worth about $4,000 to $7,000 each.
They have been donated to the charity to be sold in August.
'We raised about $60,000 last year and certainly hope to beat that figure this time,' said society volunteer and sale organiser Adrienne Watson.
The beds are being donated as part of the hotel's annual clearout.
