Graduates urged not to break copyright laws

Students were warned not to fall foul of copyright laws at the annual prize-giving day of Lok Sin Tong Yu Kan Hing School recently.

The guest-of-honour, Stephen Selby, director of the Hong Kong Government's Intellectual Property Department, said the copyright law was meant to protect the creative efforts and investment of people and it was crucial to the economy's development.

Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society chairman Lo Kwok-hung officiated at the ceremony.

Certificates and prizes were presented to the graduates and students in recognition of their achievements in studies and extra-curricular activities.

This year, the Chinese orchestra won the championship in the Schools Music Festival and carried home the 'Yuet Wah Cup' for the fourth year.
