BOT to limit intervention

The Bank of Thailand yesterday said it had stopped intervening in offshore foreign exchange markets to stabilise domestic money market liquidity and future intervention would be limited to the domestic market.
Last week, the central bank intervened in Singapore and Hong Kong swap markets for the first time to reduce Thai swap interest rates and ease tight domestic liquidity.
