Golden bounced back from their 3-0 defeat by Happy Valley on Wednesday night by thrashing Eastern 7-1 in last night's second match of the Regional Council Cup.

Scottish striker Lee Bullen scored a goal in each half as Golden ran Eastern ragged to enhance their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Midfielder Chiu Chun-man put Golden on the path to victory when he scored from the penalty spot in the 20th minute after striker Anto Grabo was fouled by defender Au Yeung Shiu-wai.

Eastern, who held Instant-Dict to a goalless draw on Wednesday, opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Yeung Ching-kwong slipped the ball past goalkeeper Gavin Kelly.

Goals from Marlon Van Der Sander, Grabo, Lam Hing-lun and an own goal from Poon Man-tik gave Golden their lopsided win.

They now have three points from two games while Eastern have just one point and must beat Happy Valley tomorrow to have a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Happy Valley are assured of a place in next Wednesday's semi-finals, even if they lose to Eastern.

Instant-Dict have two points and must beat Golden to reach the last four of the competition.

Sing Tao have qualified for the semi-finals from the other group, with South China still to play Uhlsport-Rangers.
