Height of imbecility

Passengers on a recent Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Hong Kong were subjected to the antics of a moronic male specimen.

The flight left on time, but a passenger left on the ground made the most inappropriate tongue-in-cheek comment possible, which resulted in the plane dumping fuel at sea and turning back to Heathrow after an hour in the air.

The quip to ground staff was taken seriously. He joked that ho ho, there's a bomb in his bag, on the plane minus him.

Top marks to Virgin for making sure he won't be flying next to you ever again - he'd be lucky to get a passage on a banana boat.

The passengers stranded overnight were given hotel accommodation and a free flight.
