WALES: Manager Bobby Gould was among the scorers as the national side warmed up for tomorrow's World Cup qualifying match against San Marino with a 6-1 victory over League of Wales outfit Cwmbran.
Wales led 3-0 with goals from Gary Speed, Marcus Browning and Andy Melville when 50-year-old Gould went on to replace Speed 11 minutes into the second half at the Cwmbran Stadium.
Ryan Giggs crossed for Gould to make it 4-0 with a header from point-blank range after 68 minutes. Cwmbran's Simon Dyer pulled a goal back two minutes later, but Crewe's Robbie Savage quickly made it 5-1 with a header. Giggs wrapped up the scoring after 78 minutes.
