Nothing perks up a morning better than the aroma of freshly ground beans - a prelude to a good cup of coffee. For global coffee grinding solutions specialist Hemro Group, a great brew starts with the grinding.

The coffee industry's hidden champion, Hemro manufactures grinders and components for some of the world's leading professional coffee machine makers and cafe operators. It is among the top grinding disc manufacturers globally.

Hemro benefits from the rich history and niche competencies of its three brands: Mahlkönig's German heritage combines with Ditting's Swiss precision and Anfim's Italian traditions for a complete coverage of grinding solutions.

"We are proud to have these brands under one family," says Philipp Baumberger, CEO. "Our passion for providing grinding solutions for brewing the best cup of coffee is seen through these longstanding names in the market."

Hemro's grinders consistently deliver expertly ground coffee. Armed with a profound understanding of coffee extraction, Hemro designs grinders that produce the ideal coffee particle size distribution - for the perfect coffee taste and blend with creamer and water. It continuously raises the bar in coffee grinding by committing 10 per cent of its resources to research and development.

"What makes us a premium company is our ability to replicate the taste and drinking experience shot after shot," says Jochen Christoph, chief financial officer.

Collaboration with various coffee machine makers on customised products further enriches Hemro's expertise in pioneering new machines. Pushing innovations in coffee grinders, Hemro worked with a world-class coffee roaster firm to develop an automatically controlled grind-adjusting coffee machine with touchscreen tablet for a point-of-sale application.

Hemro Asia, formerly known as Mahlkönig Asia, commemorated its 10th anniversary last year by enlarging its footprint in the region. The Shanghai office is now set up to showcase the Mahlkönig, Ditting and Anfim brands. It will also serve as an after-sales facility that will enable Hemro to provide superior response times for supplying spare parts, customer training and servicing.

Hemro's Shanghai office is the first among many that it plans to open in Asia. The company aims to foster partnerships with companies and organisations that can help it cater to the diverse and evolving tastes of the Asian markets. Hemro also seeks to grow its distribution network and invites companies with the same passion and family values to join its culture of excellence.

"We feel passionate about providing the best possible solutions for grinding coffee in Asia. We want to be part of the growing story in Asia," Baumberger says.
