Wong Tang-ping has a stable packed full of talent and two of them stood out in last night's feature event - the Hong Kong University Alumni Association Challenge Cup.

Miss Piggy was the first of them with apprentice Win Chung looking unable to get to the bottom of him as he appeared to hang in slightly over the last 200 metres or so.

A mile is a bit on the short side for Miss Piggy so watch out for him over 1,800 metres or even farther, especially when one of the more leading apprentices or a senior jockey jumps on board.

In the circumstances, Miss Piggy did well to close for fourth while Full Speed Ahead came from a long way back to finish just on the heels of the place-getters.

Full Speed Ahead had been slow to break under seven-pound claimer Eddie Lai so it was a big effort to make up so much ground.

The outing will have done Full Speed Ahead the world of good and he is now down to a handy rating of 72 at the bottom of Class Two.

He's the type of horse who could take a voluntary demotion into Class Three and do the business with someone like Lai, who appears to have improved, reducing his absolute burden. LCW
