Ravuvu's winning HK rugby return

MOAPE Ravuvu crowned his return to Hong Kong rugby by leading DeA to the Budweiser Aberdeen Sixes title yesterday.

Moape scored once as DeA defeated Aberdeen six tries to two in the final at the Aberdeen Stadium.

First Division debutants DeA proved that they will be a force to reckon with during the 1996-97 season as they easily beat off all challengers.

With their array of overseas players - Wiremu Maunsell, Carl Murray, Lance Climo, Alisandro Pastor - on show, the former Third Division team were simply too strong, with other clubs resting their Hong Kong representatives before today's first Test against Fiji.

Ravuvu, who arrived in Hong Kong with the Fiji team on Thursday night, was at his dazzling best.

The Fijian playmaker was a member of the Hong Kong team who played at the Fiji Sevens earlier this year. He stayed behind at home after that tournament.
