Singapore released Asia's first CD-ROM Yellow Pages yesterday, packing more than 4,000 pages of information into one plastic disk. The CD includes three volumes of the printed Yellow Pages comprising a buying guide, commercial and industrial addresses and government listings.
Retailing for about $165, it allows computer users to find phone and fax numbers and addresses just by keying in a name. A modem user can click on an icon to dial a number.
