II smuggling ring broken as fake passports seized

Immigration officers broke a forged travel document syndicate and arrested a 35-year-old man resident in connection with smuggling mainlanders overseas. Investigators found 17 suspected forged travel documents in a raid on a Tsuen Wan flat.


The documents included six Home Visit Permits, five Hong Kong identity cards, four American passports, a Canadian passport and a Chinese identity card. The arrested man had been under surveillance for two months.
