After weathering crises and catastrophes, Simbulan Group has remained unstoppable in forging new successes every year. Through its flagship subsidiaries - furniture exporter Simbulan Industries Philippines and construction firm RG Simbulan and Partners - the group has evolved as a leading design and manufacturing company in the Philippines.

Providing quality project management, furniture, furnishings and builders' woodworks, Simbulan has made interior design fit-out works its core business. This strategy was inspired by the positive response it received from prestigious clients, including global hotel chains Shangri-La Group, Resorts World, Hyatt and New World Hotels, and developer Megaworld.

"Our goal is to excel in this business by treating every client as a long-term partner," says Renato Simbulan, president and CEO. "Our clientele is such that if you do well the first time, it can guarantee repeat and bigger engagements that could last years. With consistent performance, we have nurtured lasting relationships with our clients in the hotel and hospitality sector."

Apart from its long-term ties, Simbulan credits its success to its remarkable track record and vibrant talent pool. More than shaping its growth and success the past 35 years, these strengths have served as keys to Simbulan's evolving expansion into other Asian markets. "Our readiness is crucial to our growth. We had planned and prepared for what is happening today. Moreover, we have geared up for the market scenario in the coming years," Simbulan says.

The company's plans are taking off. Simbulan is working with international groups and is considering projects in Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar. Relying on its capabilities and foresight, Simbulan understands that today's global economy calls for companies to explore opportunities beyond borders. Simbulan is looking into partnerships with construction and interior design firms to jump-start its region-wide growth.

"Integration is inevitable," Simbulan says. "Protecting your business where you are is impossible. The smarter move is to advance and further grow your business and look at the bigger market."
