Seoul plans to increase its investment in the country's marine and fishery industries to more than 10 times the current level by 2011, Minister of Marine and Fishery Shin Shin Sang Woo says.

By that year, the output of the two industries will be equal to 12 per cent of South Korea's projected gross national product of 221 trillion won (about HK$2.06 trillion), from the current 8 per cent, or 21 trillion won, the minister said.
