About 300 senior citizens enjoyed an outing to Ma On Shan, thanks to Wong Tai Sin Junior Police Call (JPC) members.

The guests, along with 40 JPC members, spent a day at the Helping Hand Cheung Muk Tau Holiday Centre for the Elderly.

They tried different outdoor sports and games, including lawn bowls, gateball and shooting.

Activities like silk-screen printing, balloon-making and ribbon decorations were organised by instructors at the centre for those who preferred to stay indoors.

After half a day of fun and games, the guests were seated at 50 tables where they enjoyed a hearty meal.

They also took part in a lucky draw and walked away with some nice surprises.

The visitors were then treated to what proved to be a favourite entertainment for many of them - a Chinese opera show - which drew loud cheers at the end.

Every senior citizen was presented with a souvenir before they boarded the buses to head home.
